The shows portrayal of Ireland and the IRA kind of bothered me. They do so much research into a lot of stuff, and they still portrayed the breakaway IRA as being this hugely funded, specialised killing machine, despite the fact that the modern IRA, and especially it’s breakaway groups are anything but. It’s one of the biggest uses of artistic license I’ve seen on the show. 

Carmy: Being Irish as well, I noticed that this is the perception of the IRA in many T.V. shows. Also, is it that hard to hire an actor with a good Irish accent?! :P
